About the Position

We are seeking a Project Controls Engineer to deliver scheduling support services for data center projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers, construction teams, and stakeholders to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules and project control systems throughout the project lifecycle. This is a key position offering substantial opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor construction CPM schedules
  • Review project documents and specifications to create accurate baseline schedules with all required dates, activities, and milestones
  • Perform progress schedule updates with comprehensive reporting and narratives
  • Analyze project schedules and provide recommendations aligned with execution goals
  • Conduct critical path analyses, identify scheduling challenges, and recommend solutions
  • Perform site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages
  • Review contractor progress and present findings to management for informed decision making
  • Develop program metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks
  • Manage and report on costs and resources
  • Identify and evaluate risks and impacts within project schedules
  • Communicate project status and challenges clearly to all stakeholders
  • Engage with project teams, clients, owners, and various stakeholders regularly

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction
  • At least one year of project controls experience specifically in data center projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or related field (may be waived with five or more years of direct vertical construction experience)
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6
  • Strong ability to interpret construction documents accurately
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences
  • Proven experience developing construction schedules for data center projects
  • Experience with cost and resource management and reporting
  • Understanding of contractual clauses related to planning and scheduling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while managing multiple projects
